What your plan allows for automations
Every plan sets how many rules you can have and how many notifications they can send. This page gives the numbers, says what happens at a ceiling — we refuse, we count, we tell you — and when the counters reset.

At a ceiling
The rule still runs: its trigger fires, its conditions are checked. What happens to the action depends on the ceiling. A rule you cannot create (the plan’s number of automations) is refused at creation, with the reason. An e-mail past the month’s e-mails is refused and counted on the rule’s page, under Today — Alerts, importance and refused alerts. The daily push number is counted, not refused: you see it in My usage, and a push past it still goes out — a safety limit of 250 an hour per account is the only thing that stops a push. Nothing is silently dropped. The daily counters reset at midnight in your account’s time zone, the monthly ones on the first of the month.
The command ceiling is the same on every plan: it is a safety, not a feature. It catches a rule that sets a signal another rule watches, and the two firing each other for ever.
